First time blogging - little nervous

Okay, I'm new here. I read so many blogs that I wanted one myself. I'm probably not the best writer or picture taker in the world - there seems to be so many blogs out there with some really talented people. But I am creative and I do spend alot of time in my kitchen and I thought just maybe I might try this. So here goes something.

Since this is the first of many posts in the kitchen - I thought I'd start by showing you my kitchen. I love it. It used to be old and sort of, well, just older. My mom and I remodeled in 2007 tearing everything out but the studs! I learned so much during that process, but probably the most important thing I've learned from that is that you must be patient, especially with the person helping you! Seems we always had the same end in mind, but very different ways of getting there. Here are some before and after pics.

If anyone needs any remodeling advice, I'm not sure I'm the best source, but I'll tell you what I know - Measure twice, cut once.
